Announcement

The Elmer Ambulance Corps is pleased to announce the hiring of two full time and five part time Emergency Medical Technician's. The new hires are for daytime coverage Monday through Friday for an eight hour shift. The daytime coverage started July 5, 2010.  The Corps is starting with 8 hours shifts to see how we make out financially and then increase to 10 hour shift if viable. We plan on covering the nights/weekends with our membership as before. The Elmer Ambulance Corps was dispatched to 437 calls from January 1, 2010 to May 31, 2010 and dispatched to 373 calls in the same period in 2009. The call volume continues to increase year over year. Providing daytime personnel will enable us to better serve our response area as the majority of our calls are in the morning and afternoon when many of our members are working.
